We believe in God.
There
is only one God, who is the Creator and Beginning of all things. Our God
is the God of the Bible; He is the Supreme Being and Ruler of all that
is created: living and dead. Nothing was made without Him and nothing
can rule beside Him. |
 |
We believe the Bible
to be
the written Word of God, directly originating from God, and penned by
holy men inspired by God. It is the absolute, perfect and eternal
doctrine. The Old Testament law of God should be displayed by His
people, being made complete in Jesus, and the prophetic writings are the
accounts of things that have and will be fulfilled. The New Testament
gospels are the accurate account of Jesus the Messiah, and the apostolic
books are the guidelines by which His Church was established and should
remain. |
 |
We believe in Jesus the Messiah.
He is the son of God, the Word of God, and the perfect image of God.
Salvation is only available through Him and there is no other way to God
than by Him. He is the explicit image of a true follower of God and
everyone that professes Him should have the same faith, attitude,
morals, and lifestyle. He paid the ultimate sacrifice of death and
received from God kingship and authority over all things. He is the
governor of the Church and all mankind is subject to Him.
|
 |
We believe in Salvation through faith and grace
and
not through works. Works are the adherence to God’s moral instruction
and our distinct identity as followers of God. Works are not vital for
salvation, but are important in following God’s will and living in His
presence. Faith in Jesus, who makes the Law of God complete, does not
make obedience to that Law irrelevant.
|
 |
We believe in a lifestyle of morality
that
is required of a true follower of God. This lifestyle honors both God
and man. Anyone who lives an alternative lifestyle, outside the clear
boundaries described in the Bible, violates the nature and purpose of
God and cannot be a follower of God. This lifestyle must supersede
cultural, social and family practices that are not within the boundaries
of God's nature. |
 |
We believe in Conversion:
that
is the complete disregard of a former lifestyle and religion, and an
unreserved belief in God and His son Jesus, and the adherence to all
things practiced and taught by the followers of God.
|
 |
We believe in the Church (ecclesia).
It is
the proper name of the universal gathering of all faithful followers of
God who have found salvation through Jesus. It is the voice and image of
God on the earth. It is the instrument of God for governing and
establishing heavenly purpose on the earth. Assembly with a local church
is important for growth and development as a follower of God.
|
 |
We believe in the Holy Spirit.
He is
the one sent from God to strengthen, guide and teach the Church. He is
always present with us and gives ability to each of us, as He wills, to
encourage and build. He is the instructing voice that each follower of
God hears. He is the conviction of God, teaching right from wrong and
evil from good. He consistently prepares the Church for the return of
Jesus. |
 |
We believe in the power of God
at
work in the world, in the Church and in individual lives, through Jesus
and by the Holy Spirit. It is this power that orchestrates all things on
the earth, whether natural or spiritual. His power is evident in, but
not limited to, physical miracles and healings, deliverance, restoration
of the spiritual man, and the gifts of the Spirit as described by the
Apostles. |
 |
We believe in the return and final reign of Jesus the Messiah.
His
return is both literal and physical, and will be evident and undeniable.
He will bring with Him all of heaven. He will join to Himself all true
followers of God who have received salvation through Him, both living
and dead. He will sit on the throne of government to rule every nation.
His Church will remain with Him forever and God will again walk with man
on the earth. |
